Ninjadry 101

So, what's the deal?

Ninjadry is an online dry cleaning and laundry service. We clean everything from two piece suits to underpants to kingsize duvets.

You order through our website or app whenever you want. We collect from wherever you want. We clean your clothes to the highest professional standards. We deliver your spanking fresh garments wherever you want. You order wherever, we go wherever. Simple.

Do you cover my area?

We cover all greater Belfast.

We have plans for world domination, however. If we're not there yet, we'll be up your street just as soon as we can. Wash this space...

When are you open?

We're open online 24/7, so you can order whenever you want. Pick a collection and delivery slot that's convenient to you when placing your order.

Website or app?

We have both! You can download our app from the Play Store or App Store. But you know what, our website on your mobile or tablet is pretty damn slick. Why not add us to your home screen for easy access, just like an app!

Where do I start?

Okay, it's your first order. We got your back. Take a deep breath. Baby steps:

  • Click on “Get Started” and punch in your postcode and email. If we aren't up your street yet, register for when we are.
  • Pick the items you want cleaned, adding any special instructions you want, and add them to your basket. Or don't pick anything and select our “Quick Order” option if you want us to sort your order for no extra cost.
  • Pick a collection and delivery slot that's convenient to you.
  • Tell us who you are, where you live, and how you want to pay, so we can create your account (we'll keep your details super safe and won't share them with anyone).
  • Then complete your order. We'll send you an email and/or text to confirm your order and next steps.

What happens at my first collection?

Ninjadry calling! Here's the drill:

  • During your selected collection slot you'll get an email and/or text from us about 20 minutes before our friendly Ninjadriver arrives at your door.
  • All you need to do is have your stuff ready.
  • Our driver will have two Ninjadry bags, one for laundry and one for dry cleaning. These bags are yours, and will become in due course more indispensable to you than oxygen...
  • Our driver will help you sort what's what.
  • And then they'll be off, leaving you to return to EastEnders or Corrie or Fair City, or the crossword.

How do I know how my items should be cleaned?

Don't worry, we got this. We will always clean your clothes in accordance with the item's care label, unless you tell us otherwise. If there is some doubt about how to clean the item, we'll contact you.

What about my first delivery?

Ninjadry calling again! Here's the drill:

  • During your selected delivery slot you'll get an email and/or text from us about 20 minutes before our friendly Ninjadriver arrives at your door.
  • With a broad smile and a spring in their step, our driver will return your fresh and clean clothes in your new Ninjadry bags.
  • Please check your stuff at this point. If there's any problems, please let us know by emailing support@ninjadry.com.
  • Then it's back to the crossword...

Do I have to provide my own bag?

No, on your first collection our Ninjadriver will have two new Ninjadry bags for you, one for laundry and one for dry cleaning. Please try and keep them safe.

How do I contact Ninjadry for anything?

We don't have an inbound phone line because we don't want you pressing 1 for this and 2 for that, and then waiting for 20 minutes listening to Mozart or Rick Astley (as much as we love them both) before you get through to someone who's clearly not in the same timezone, and who may not have even heard of Rick Astley.

Laundry

What is Wash & Fold?

For most standard orders, it's a 40°C machine was first, using the latest washing machine technology. We will always follow the care label, and if the items are particularly mucky, or if it's bedding or towels, we will wash them at a higher temperature.

Once thoroughly washed, we gently tumble dry on a medium heat. When dry, we fold your items neatly on our special folding machine, wrap in hygienic packaging, and put them back in your Ninjadry bag.

Do I have to actually weigh my laundry?

No, we don't expect you to get the scales out! The most efficient way to price laundry is by the kilogram, not by the bag. As a guide, a standard household load is around 6kg.

Once you have one of our super-duper Ninjadry laundry bags, a rough measure of what 6kg looks like is about halfway full, to the handle level (yes it has handles!).

What happens at Ninjadry HQ?

When we get your order, we weigh it. If you're a tad light (or heavy) compared to what you ordered, or if you picked our Quick Order option, we will drop you a line to confirm the correct price. Then we crack on with the wash.

We don't mix customer orders, so all your stuff is kept separate and tracked throughout the order cycle.

What is Wash & Iron? What is Pure Iron?

Wash & Iron is Wash & Fold, except that we iron those items that ought to be ironed, and then we fold them.

Pure Iron is just ironing. If you want to wash and dry your own stuff yourself, but you hate ironing, then we can do that for you.

What gets ironed?

We use good old-fashioned common sense. Tops, jeans, t-shirts, polo shirts, and anything else that you wear that might be seen by others who would frown deeply at you if they saw a wrinkle. Unless you're the Naked Cowboy, we will not iron your underwear or socks or anything else that doesn't need ironed.

Other than that, whatever you tell us.

To be really sure that the items you want get ironed, you can put these into a separate bag and drop that bag into your Ninjadry laundry bag.

What should I not put in for Wash & Fold or Wash & Iron?

Any delicate items that require specialist cleaning, or garments that must be dry cleaned, should not be included in a machine wash. Also, household stuff like towels and bedding shouldn't go in because these require a bit more special care. You should order these items separately.

And no wet clothes please!

I've got a washing machine, so why should you do my laundry?

You may have a washing machine (and maybe a tumble dryer, show off), but we want you to have (more of) a life! Cleaning your own clothes went out with Nokia and collateralised debt obligations. Remember them? Don't remind us. Anyways, if we wash your stuff and give it back to, you've saved, like, sooo much time so you can do more important things, like drink gin and eat burritos...

So what will I do with my own washing machine?

Put it on Gumtree and take what you can get. You'll be ahead of the curve and ahead of your neighbours if you use Ninjadry. Why? Because that washing machine shaped hole in your kitchen will disappear someday. Someday they'll stop making homes with spaces for washing machines. And when that day comes, you'll be king of the hill, top of the heap, and a Ninjadry boss!

Dry Cleaning

What exactly is dry cleaning?

Dry cleaning is a process of cleaning clothes without using water. Delicate items with natural fibre, such as suits and silk dresses, can only be dry cleaned because putting them in a normal washing machine would probably ruin them.

So, what do I do?

Very little, apart from chucking your clothes for dry cleaning into our super-duper Ninjadry dry cleaning bag!

What do I get back?

Our Ninjadriver will return your freshly dry cleaned suits (or dresses or Giorgio Armani silk shirts) in your Ninjadry bag.

What's so special about my Ninjadry dry cleaning bag?

Well, like our laundry bag, it is designed and made by some very clever people at The Green Garmento, a specialist bag making company in California. It's a suit bag at heart, but turn it upside down and hang it up, and it's a duffle bag for your dirty dry cleaning. Genius.

How do I create an account?

Just place your first order, and our first class tech will create an account automatically for you. You'll get your own dashboard, which will allow you to do all sorts of magical things...

What's my username again?

It's your email address. If you've forgotten which email, don't worry, just drop us a line to support@ninjadry.com and we'll get right on it. Allow your device to remember your login details, so you don't have to!

How do I get a new password if I've forgotten mine?

No problem, just go to the login page and click “Forgot your password?” and our system will send you a new one – for free!

How do I change my personal details, password, or payment card?

Just go to your Ninjadry dashboard and click on what you want to change.

How much do you charge?

Just click on “Pricing”, enter your postcode and email address, and bingo! We've organised what we clean into helpful categories for easy navigation.

Is there a minimum order spend?

Yes, it's £15. So, if you only want one suit cleaned, we'll charge you £15 rather than the actual list price. That said, our average order is around £25, and most people use Ninjadry on a weekly basis, when they can't get any more dirty clothes in their wash basket!

How do I place an order?

How do I check my order?

Just log in to your Ninjadry account to access your customer dashboard at any time.

Can I change my order?

Yes, of course. Just log in to your Ninjadry account.

Can I reschedule?

Yes, of course. Just log in to your Ninjadry account.

Can you tell me exactly when my Ninjadriver will arrive?

One of the really clever bits of our tech (if we do say so ourselves) is that you can track our driver in real time when they're on their way to collect or deliver your order.

About 20 minutes before our driver arrives, we will text you to let you know. We'll provide a link to our live map showing our little Ninjadry van on its way to your door. Please do take a moment to sit there and marvel at the wonder of it all...

Three, two, one... and you're back in the room when our driver rattles your bell with your freshly cleaned stuff. Job done. Order completed.

By the way, you'll need to allow the map to access your location, or else it won't work!

Can I cancel my order?

Yes, of course. Just log in to your Ninjadry account.

What is Ninja Quick Order?

It's your shortcut to true laundry-free happiness.

Select Quick Order to skip the process of selecting individual items. No need to sort or to count suits or shirts or socks. Just chuck everything into your Ninjadry bags and we'll do the work for you – at no extra cost!

Once we worked out what's what at Ninjadry HQ, we will email you to confirm what you've sent us, and the price. Then we'll get on with the cleaning.

What if there's still a stain?

Our job is to get your stuff clean. Our reputation rests on how happy you are with our work. If for whatever reason we are unable to get a stain out then we will return the item to you with a note explaining this.

If you think there's a new stain, or if you are unhappy with anything we've cleaned for you, please contact us at support@ninjadry.com, so we can resolve the issue, pronto.

Why wouldn't you clean something?

Perhaps there's no care label, or the item may have pre-existing damage, or it may be too tricky to clean (even for us). If so, we will talk to you first, before cleaning it. We are happy to give things a go, but we will only do so if you allow us to proceed without risk.

How do you process payment?

We partner with Braintree, a PayPal company, to process all our customer payments. If there are any changes to your order after we collect your stuff, we will let you know in advance what the adjusted price will be.

Should I tip my Ninjadriver?

We look after our team, so you don't have to! We want to make the whole process as frictionless as possible for you, which means we don't expect you to faff around with cash at your door.

If you want to feedback on our drivers, please contact us direct and we will pass it on. And if it's praiseworthy, we'll be very happy to reward them accordingly!

Can I give you back hangers?

Yes please! We recycle what we can here at Ninjadry, so for sure dump any surplus hangers you have into your Ninjadry bags with your next order. Thank you!
